EMDR therapists can feel stuck when working with attachment trauma. This intermediate-level course is meant to help therapists develop some concrete interventions to use to help prepare a client for EMDR processing of attachment wounds. It will also help with some cognitive interweaves that can help when processing gets stuck. This course was presented live on September 24, 2024. The course time is 5 hours. That includes 4.75 hours of course videos, an 11-minute added lesson, and a 6-minute added meditation.
Presenter: Cathy Hanville, LCSW (They/She) They have been in private practice since 2001. First in San Francisco, then the East Bay, and now both in CA and PA where they now live. They specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and gender-diverse clients. They are certified as an EMDRIA Consultant and Continuing Education Provider. They run multiple consultation groups for EMDR certification and also see a lot of therapists for individual consultation. They love teaching therapists how to better work with their traumatized clients and helping them grow their skills. They especially want therapists to leave their classes with specific tools they can implement right away.

Techniques to Integrate Parts Work and EMDR to address Attachment Trauma course #6053 is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Cathy Hanville, LCSW, as an individual course. Individual courses, not providers, are approved at the course level. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 12/20/24-12/20/26. Social workers completing this course receive five clinical continuing education credits.

5. Participants will be able to utilize the EMDR Protocol to address attachment trauma.

To earn CE credit, social workers watch the entire course, take a 30-question post-test, and obtain a 75% pass rate. You can take it multiple times. You must also fill out an evaluation of the course.
